Gracious monsters brings together colorado’s filmmakers to tell emotional stories in fantastic worlds. formed in 2023, we are a video production company led by award-winning author and screenwriter Thomas A. Fowler, with over 20 years in production. In a world of boring content, their collaborative efforts shine a light on the remarkable people who make Colorado movie-making so phenomenal.

thomas a. fowler began writing at an early age, writing and drawing an X-Men comic spinoff on construction paper. his love for film and theater hit fully in high-school, continuing with theater, film, and improv projects throughout college. he entered advertising agencies for 10 years before returning to narrative filmmaking, but never left storytelling as he published a number of books and stories while building his production resume in marketing.
Throughout his career, his work produced the following:

7 non-fiction books about writing and marketing
1 short film
8 short stories published in various anthologies
an epic metric ton of unproduced writings
more ad campaigns, social content, and marketing videos than he cares to count (but includes clients like the colorado 150, humane colorado, Smashburger, Xcel Energy, Centura Health, Six Flags Elitch Gardens, and Sherwin-Williams).
his content work focuses on mental health, as he’s dealt with numerous mental health issues himself, and champions men to open up about their struggles. He is an advocate for ranked choice voting and universal healthcare.
